Weekends at RAVEN

FROM: an open-ended (OE) writing session, a 1-3 words-per-line poem -the “Weekends at RAVEN Project”

WEEKENDS

Weekends at Raven,
The weakness ends
at Raven.

Weakness,
One of our
Oldest
Belief systems:
We were always
Too weak
- From viruses,
Plagues,
War,
Vices,
Others
     - to
Not fit in,
To say no;
to say yes,

All distractions
A distraction,
One.
A deck
Of cards
To play,
All
With
The same card:
Distraction.
Perhaps
One other Deck
To play, all
Of the same
Card:
Attachment.

Truth be known,
You survived
Those weaknesses
You created.
In fact,
So distracted,
So attached
    that
You came back
For more.

But did you?
For "more",
Yes,
But you
Did not
Come back
for more
of
What attached you/
What attracted you/
What you attracted/
What distracted you.
No.
You came back
For more:
YOU.

The real you,
An embodied Master.
Nothing more.

The weak,
The week ends
Here,
With Freedom.
